How does the Morse Code Translator work?

Our intelligent translator handles both directions automatically. If you type letters and numbers, it converts them to Morse Code dots (.) and dashes (-). If you type dots and dashes, it decodes them back into readable text.

Morse code was invented by Samuel Morse in the 1830s for the electrical telegraph. It assigns a unique sequence of short signals (dots) and long signals (dashes) to each character.
